Server-side email APIs for IMAP and POP3 Removed in Platform v6.13.3.0 Platform removed the APIs for connecting to external mail servers over IMAP or POP3 and reading messages: rbv_api.openIMAP(), rbv_api.openPOP3(), rbv_api.getMailMessageCount(), rbv_api.getMailMessage(), rbv_api.getMailMessages(), and rbv_api.closeMailSession(). Update any server-side scripts that call these methods. There is no direct replacement for these server-side APIs. Email API
Gmail username-and-password authentication Unsupported Google retired third-party username-and-password authentication. Google OAuth 2.0 is the supported connection method. Connect your Google account using OAuth 2.0. The googlePassword field on USER objects is not used for Google OAuth and does not need to be populated. Existing values in that field are not automatically removed.

Microsoft Exchange EWS and username-and-password integration Unsupported Platform’s supported Exchange integration uses OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft Graph. Migrate existing EWS OAuth configurations manually by updating both the Exchange app and the Exchange settings in Platform. Platform cannot perform this migration automatically.

Integrating with Microsoft Exchange Server

External email providers have retired or restricted basic authentication, and Microsoft is retiring EWS in Exchange Online. These changes prevent the affected legacy methods from being reliably supported.

Built-in inbox access remains available through Gmail OAuth and Microsoft Exchange OAuth with Microsoft Graph. Incoming Gmail setup still requires IMAP to be enabled on the Google account. SMTP email sending configured in Setup Home > Email Server Settings is not affected.

For setup instructions, see Enabling IMAP on your Google account.
