Google Maps
You can use Google Maps to visually represent a location associated with a record of an object with the Location attribute. You do not need to enable Google integration with any account to use Google Maps.
You can add a Google map to an object's view page. To add a Google map to a view page, edit the page in the page editor and drag the Google Map component to the desired location.
The Google Map component renders a map of the record's address as shown below:
You can configure a view page's Google Map component to select:
- The height of component in pixels. The map will take up 100% of the available width.
- The default zoom level. A user can change this at runtime.
- The default map type (street, satellite, etc.). A user can change this at runtime.
To configure a view page's Google Map component:
- Click Config next to the view page in the
Pages area of the object definition:
- Select the properties on the Configure Google Maps Component page:
- Click Save.
