System applications

When a Platform customer (i.e. tenant) is created, one or more system applications are installed. A system application must always contain the User object, which is necessary for the functioning of every Platform tenant (otherwise no users would be able to log in). System applications also include other important components which cannot be created using regular setup functions:

• The Reports list page and menu
• The Settings object definition
• The Location, Department, and Function (LDF) object definitions
