Transfer owners
Use the Transfer Owners option in the Administration Setup page to change relationships between a selected user and records of another type to a different user. To transfer owners, click the Transfer Owners option and specify the following:
Note: Only single cardinality user relationships are eligible for ownership transfer.
Warning: There is no easy way to roll back these changes, other than editing each record one-by-one. Do
not use this option for temporary reassignments.
- Relationship: Specifies one or more relationships that you want to change between the User object and other objects (ownership of accounts, cases, etc.)
- Current Owner: Specifies the user you want to reassign records from
- New Owner: Specifies the user to assign the records to
Platform replaces the current owner with the new owner for the selected relationships.
