Promoting a child menu to a tab

If a top-level tab has been changed to a child menu of another tab, follow these steps to make it a top-level tab again:

  1. Navigate to an application setup page that uses the tab you want to change:
To navigate to settings for the current application, click App Settings from the application switcher.
Note: The Application Switcher is available as a drop-down menu next to the application name irrespective of the UI Blueprint selected.
To navigate to settings for a different application, hover your mouse pointer over the application in the application switcher and click its associated Application Settings icon.
  2. Click Tabs in the ribbon. To edit a child menu, you must edit its parent tab.
  3. From the Tabs table, click Edit in the row for the parent tab.
A page opens that allows you to edit tab properties.
  4. In the Menus table, click Edit in the row for the child menu you want to promote:
  5. From the Parent Tab drop-down menu, select None (top level tab).
  6. Click Save.
