Password expiration email notification

If you set a password expiration policy for your organization when configuring Configuring Password Authentication, you can enable email notification prior to password expiration.

To enable the email notification:

  1. From the application switcher, navigate to the application settings for the Platform application.
  2. Click Objects in the ribbon.
  3. Click the User object.
  4. Click Triggers in the ribbon.
  5. Click Edit next to the Send Password Expiration Notification trigger.
  6. Click the This trigger is deployed check box.
  7. In the Trigger Delay Time area, enter the number of days after the date of the last password update to send the notification message:

    Password Expiration Delay Time

  8. Click Save.
The email template for that message is called Password Expiration Notification and you can customize it the same way as you can any other email template. See Email templates for more information. You can create more than one notification trigger if desired.
