Mapping Roles to Authentication Profiles

To perform this task, you must be logged in as an administrator in Platform Private Cloud.

By default, all roles will be authenticated by the default authentication type. If any of the UI or API authentication for a particular role is selected as NONE, the users under that role will not be able to login with that particular authentication type.

Perform the following steps to map authentication profile to a role:

  1. Select a role from the Roles table and click the associated Edit action. Alternatively, to edit multiple roles, select the checkbox from the Roles grid header section and click Bulk Edit..

The Authentication profile role mapping dialog appears displaying the UI Authentication, API Authentication and selected Role.

  2. Select an authentication profile from the UI Authentication option.
This dropdown displays the list of following authentication profiles, if configured:

    • Password
    • LDAP/LDAP Adv
    • HTTP GET/POST
    • OE
    • SAML/ADFS
    • Custom
    • Kerberos
    • Default
    • None

  3. Select an authentication profile from the API Authentication option.
This dropdown displays the list of following authentication profiles, if configured:

    • Password
    • LDAP/LDAP Adv
    • API Token
    • HTTP GET/POST
    • OE
    • Custom
    • Default
