Configuring Portal Password Authentication Profile

For Portal Users, Portal Password is the default authentication profile. Ensure to specify the following values to configure Portal Password:

Security LevelThe built-in security level to implement. Specify Low, Medium, or High. Expiration PolicyThe number of days before a password expires. When a portal user's password expires, the platform prompts an error to the user during the next login attempt. Portal user has to contact it's administrator to request a new password or can reset the password using the Forgot Password link available on the login page. Leave this field blank to disable the password expiration policy.
Custom Validation FormulaCustom validation code to be used in addition to the validation rules specified by the built-in security level. For more information about custom validation formulas, see Custom validation formulas.
Password HistoryClick to enable password history. This will help store the previously used passwords and disallows recent passwords during password management.

Select the number of previously used passwords to be stored in the Passwords remembered.

Passwords rememberedNumber of old passwords to be stored.
NewUserPasswordActivationLinkExpirySet the password expiratioin time in hours for new user activation link to expire.

Default expiry time of the link: 2 hours

Password Reset Expiry TimeSet the password expiration time in hours for the reset password link for existing users request to reset password.

Default expiry time of the link: 2 hours

After specifying the above values, click Save to save your changes.
