Bulk System Backup for Multiple Customers

This feature allows administrators to create backups for multiple customers before an application upgrade simultaneously. This reduces manual effort and ensures data security by streamlining the backup process.

  • Only Administrators or users with System Backup access in the list of customers can perform bulk backups.

  • The feature processes backups asynchronously, meaning the UI remains responsive while backups are running.

  • Existing system backup processing limits apply.

Note:
  • A second backup cannot be initiated while the first is in progress.

  • Backup errors for individual customers will not halt the process for others; other backups will continue.

  • Non-administrator users require explicit System Backup access to perform this action.

To bulk system backup multiple customers, do the following:

  • Log in as an Administrator and navigate to the Customers section, where multiple customers are listed

  • Use the selection check-boxes to choose one or more customers. Selections across multiple pages are included in the bulk action.

  • Click on Create New System Backup under the More Actions menu and confirm the action if prompted.

If a system backup is already in progress for a customer, another cannot be initiated until it is completed.
  • Navigate to System Console > Monitoring > Jobs to track backup progress.

    Note: Each customer’s backup status will be displayed, and the UI will remain responsive while backups are processed in the background.
  • Once all backup jobs have been completed, the initiator will receive an email notification containing details of completed backups and any encountered errors.
